Musar su Pirkei Avoth 5:14
אַרְבַּע מִדּוֹת בְּהוֹלְכֵי לְבֵית הַמִּדְרָשׁ. הוֹלֵךְ וְאֵינוֹ עוֹשֶׂה, שְׂכַר הֲלִיכָה בְיָדוֹ. עוֹשֶׂה וְאֵינוֹ הוֹלֵךְ, שְׂכַר מַעֲשֶׂה בְיָדוֹ. הוֹלֵךְ וְעוֹשֶׂה, חָסִיד. לֹא הוֹלֵךְ וְלֹא עוֹשֶׂה, רָשָׁע:
Ci sono quattro middoth nell'andare alla casa di studio: andare ma non fare [cioè andare alla casa di studio per ascoltare, ma non rivedere il suo apprendimento e non capire] —la ricompensa dell'andare è nella sua mano; facendo [cioè apprendendo e rivedendo nel suo studio a casa], ma non andando—la ricompensa del fare è nella sua mano; andare e fare—un chasid; non andare e non fare— malvagio.

1) First of all, one is rewarded for going to the synagogue in itself, as we find in Avoth 5:14: "There are four characteristics of those who go to the synagogue: If he goes and does not do [i.e., pray, (because of some accident)], he has the reward of going." And the reward is according to the number of steps. The more steps, the more reward (see Sotah 22a).
